Introduction (repeat)

I posted this yesterday on the CCK08 Moodle Forum, but thought I'd repeat it here for completeness:

I'm Katie Piatt from the University of Brighton in the UK.

I work on developing and supporting our Blackboard installation and our Elgg social network - and I can see how things are moving away from the formal controlled world of Blackboard, but I don't know where it's going and am fascinated to see what happens next.

I'm much more of a techy than an academic, so for me, having the ability to engage in academic conversations about what I see happening will be my measure of success - I want the theory - and the current theories under my belt.

I'm also very interested at the moment in using games to increase engagement etc, and am running a project called "The Never Ending Uni Quiz" which you'll no doubt here more about as the weeks go on!
